Dr. Kenneth Blemings
Dr. Kenneth Blemings of the West Virginia University intercollegiate undergraduate program in biochemistry and assistant director of the Division of Animal & Nutritional Sciences in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design was named dean of the WVU Honors College in 2015.
Blemings came to WVU in 1999 as an assistant professor of nutritional biochemistry and of genetics and developmental biology in the Division of Animal and Veterinary Sciences. In 2010, he was named assistant director of academic programs for the division. He was a 2012 WVU Foundation Outstanding Teacher and a recipient of an APLU/USDA regional teaching award the same year. He became chair of the WVU’s intercollegiate undergraduate program in biochemistry in 2013.
Dr. Blemings has been providing leadership in Honors education for many years. He has instructed a variety of Honors courses, served as an Honors advisor, and been a valuable member of the Honors College Advisory Council.

Dr. Lisa Di Bartolomeo
Lisa Di Bartolomeo arrived at WVU in 2005 to re-build and coordinate the Russian language program, now a successful Area of Emphasis. She supervises teaching assistants and lecturers. In addition to coordinating the Russian Studies program and advising its majors, Dr. Di Bartolomeo also coordinates the Slavic and East European Studies program (SEES), advising students and devising curriculum. She also advises the extremely active WVURussian Club, and runs the annual WLLL Department’s Spring Spectacular performance.
Dr Di Bartolomeo supervises several successful study abroad programs, including programs in Russia, Romania, Czech Republic, and Poland. Her teaching covers a large range of topics, including Russian language and literature, Polish cinema, science fiction, Holocaust literature and film, folklore and fairy tales, and vampire literature and film. Her research interests include Polish cinema, vampire literature and film, and Slavic folklore. Dr. Di Bartolomeo has also served as Faculty Senate Chair.

Tricia Petty
Tricia Petty is the Assistant Dean for Student and Enrollment Services for the WVU Reed College of Media. In this role, she oversees freshman and transfer recruitment, undergraduate student advising, retention efforts, and student careers and opportunities initiatives.
Tricia has worked in higher education for 20+ years. She began at WVU in January of 2000 in Enrollment Services. She went on to serve as the Director of Undergraduate Student Recruitment for 2 ½ years. During her time in Enrollment Services, she helped implement extensive recruitment and marketing strategies, helped design campus visitation programs, and partnered with others on and off-campus to help the university successfully meet its enrollment goals.
Prior to joining the College of Media, she served as the Associate Vice President in WVU’s Division of University Relations. In this position, she oversaw WVU’s strategic marketing and communication initiatives for new student recruitment, WVU’s social media efforts, market research projects, the visitor’s resource center, and trademark and licensing services. She also assisted with public relations effort and presidential communications.
She is currently an active member of the American Marketing Association, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Public Relations Society of America.

Dr. Laurel Cook
Dr. Laurel Cook is an assistant professor of marketing at the College of Business and Economics. Dr. Cook's research has recently been published in the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Affairs, and in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. As most of her research concerns a number of social issues, she is interested in identifying substantive issues that concern consumer and firm behavior. Guided by her professional experience with a Fortune 500 company and her doctoral training, Dr. Cook uses a variety of approaches to address the following three primary streams of research: (1) collaborative product development; (2) consumer well-being; and (3) corporate social responsibility. She has presented her work at 17 refereed national conferences. Additionally, her teaching experience includes buyer behavior, marketing research, strategy, and principles.
Prior to pursuing a doctoral degree, Dr. Cook worked for 6-1/2 years as a brand manager with Black & Decker. She worked specifically with the Porter-Cable and Delta Machinery brands, and was heavily involved in coordinating product launches and national marketing campaigns. Her experience with Black & Decker garnered a unique manufacturing perspective and global exposure to many industries.

Dr. Kristi Wood-Turner
Dr. Wood-Turner is the Director for the West Virginia University Center for Service and Learning. She received her Doctorate in the field of Educational Leadership Studies at WVU with a focus in Higher Education Administration. She has a Master of Arts in Applied Social Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
As Director of the Center for Service and Learning (CS&L), Dr. Wood-Turner assists in the oversight of the Center and our initiatives. A fundamental role as Director of the CS&L is the implementation of academically sound research in the field of Service-Learning in Higher Education. Currently, she is exploring the relationship between service-learning and retention, and the impact of community partner connections. Additionally, she supports creation of learning opportunities through community outreach, community and faculty partnership building and consultation with faculty on service-learning curriculum.
Dr. Wood-Turner uses her experiences as Resident Faculty Leader of Boreman Hall and Instructor for Sociology 101 to connect faculty, students and community agencies in order to gain equal benefits and enhance learning. Understanding the needs of the community and linking theory to practice gives students meaning and motivation toward life-long learning.

Alison Tartaglia
Community Health Education from Temple University and an M.S. in Public Health from Walden University. Additionally, she is currently earning a Doctorate of Public Health at Drexel University with her dissertation covering social, situational and psychological factors linked to campus sexual assault. Alison has almost 20 years of experience in public health, both as a community practitioner and as faculty in public health programs. She has worked in counseling, educating and
coordinating positions in the areas of public health, reproductive health and tobacco cessation. With WELLWVU
since August 2012, Alison views wellbeing as the balance among emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health.
